Over 100 people came to the Q&A and guidebook launch event at Travel Bug!
Welcome to all the new subscribers!
The Travel Bug event yesterday was a major success
There was a crowd! They asked great questions. And we got a good recording and sold 25+ guidebooks. You can watch it on the website. It has timestamps.
New merch: Postcards
More variations of the postcards are en route, but here’s a sampling.

The guidebook is selling briskly. Travel Bug has sold out twice, and Collected Works sold out of their 20 copies this afternoon. (I am delivering 50 more copies to them tomorrow morning, so they should have plenty for a while.) I have an enormous amount of promotion work to do, including doing a few podcasts. And sending books out to all the people who helped get this off the ground. And getting back to all the people who emailed me during launch week. If I haven’t replied to you, I apologize, but I will fix that soon.
One major thru-hiking website has already expressed interest in having me on their podcast, and a couple of organizations are interested in having me come speak about the thru-hike.
All this is great, but it’s time to be on the trail. The next newsletter should will have trail updates. It should, at the very least, have photos of the members’ resupply getting set up and stocked.
Cheers,
Pam Neely
Founder and Creator of the Santa Fe to Taos Thru-Hike
PS: If you are interested in doing the north half of the thru-hike (Santa Barbara to Taos Plaza) later this summer, please reply to this email. If I do this, I will only be taking six people. We would be on trail for the second half of the last week of August and the first half of the first week of September. It would be led by me and another guide. If you need gear I can probably provide it. Cost would be $1,500.
